Substribe spotted the absence of a robust framework to define and optimise recurring revenues and customer value. Since founding Substribe in 2018, 100+ b2b leaders input their experience and ideas into the foundational framework used by Substribe advisory (including working groups who helped to shape the must have score, data as a service assessment (daas) tool and subscription system diagnostic).
The ‘inner circle’ is a select group of innovative leaders from across functions, who continue to shape the future of optimal subscriptions.
Substribe – the inner circle

Karen is a pricing leader with experience including part of the Relx brand. We love working with her because she is so in tune with the strategic execution of pricing. Karen aligns product strategy with cross functional teams, not just relying on sales. Her approach creates clarity through the end-to-end process, from product through marketing, to commercial…and into the customer landscape.

Charmaine is a commercial product director with experience in PE backed subscription brand FastMarkets and more recently at Vortexa in data as a service. Charmaine is shaping a scalable product health score, a situationally aware solution for optimal pricing – this thinking informs the Substribe performance model.

Shannon is a commercially minded customer success practitioner with experience within the Relx brand, as well as corporate subscriptions at The FT, and The Economist. Shannon co-created the Substribe ‘revenue retention masterclass.’

Tash empowers stakeholders at all levels to leverage data as a strategic asset. Tash is a specialist in data, marketing and business management, at organisations such as Dunhumby. At Substribe, she builds revenue analysis by multiple dimensions, over years, and by segments, identifying risk and opportunity to optimise ARR.

Robin specialises in User Experience (UX) design, creating convincing concepts to test in market fast. In an age where everyone can vibe code, Robin’s skill is ensuring ideas answer meaningful questions.
Company history

Substribe started life in 2018 as the meeting place for b2b subscription leaders to share ideas and experiences, co-founded by Steve Budd and Andy Burden … Andy is now the sole director of Substribe, responsible for creating the diagnostic system, framework and methodology for optimising subscriptions (Intellectual Property). This includes building the context for GenAI + Human Operator + Client Context used in advisory work and shaped by thinking from the network of b2b leaders and inner circle.
